Live Luxe #Vegan in Larchmont at The LC

One of LA’s top places to be #vegan is #Larchmont Village and the best new address for living the green lifestyle is The LC. Situated literally at the T-square intersection of Melrose and Larchmont boulevards, The LC brings luxurious hotel-like modern residences to walkable Larchmont Village and is just a few steps from all the plant-based deliciousness of Lemonade and Café Gratitude along with other vegan-friendly juiceries, restaurants, shops and farmer’s markets.

The LC in Larchmont Village

The LC sits inside a mid-century modern glass-and-silver building literally at the “t” where Melrose and Larmont boulevards meet. Looking down the mouth of Larchmont is not The LC’s best view, however. The casually luxe rooftop deck has a stunning 360-degree view of the Hollywood Hills, the Hollywood sign, West LA, DTLA and, more surprisingly, a scenic view of nearby Paramount Studios with its famed water tower.

California Landmark Group (CLG) developed the project to be a “beacon” for luxury living in one of LA’s most green parts of town. This lighthouse effect at The LC may not brighten up, however, until the opening of its Le Marche Market later this year. Le Marche Market, which is collaboration between CLG  and Bruce Kalman’s neighboring The Larchmont, will offer a full kitchen and bar and will offer room service to residents.

The LC Larchmont Great RoomCalling it a “boutique apartment community,” CLG’s The LC has 85 residences in 27 different designs. We enjoyed the bright, Euro feel inside, especially the energy-efficient appliances, including a full-sized washer and dryer stack. “Residences” inside The LC also have spacious wardrobes, walk-in closets, custom window coverings, deep soaking tubs, advanced lighting, in-home security systems and a lobby concierge. In addition, The LC was built with a plush theatre screening room (available to residents for private event bookings), a fitness studio and a business center.

The spacious wardrobes, walk-in closets, custom window coverings and in-home security system further elevate the comfort level of each home.

Being Vegan In and Around Larchmont Village

What could be a better place to finish off a freshly-pressed juice or some vegan deli items from Lemonade (which sits just a few feet down the street on Larchmont’s north end) then atop The LC’s scenic rooftop deck? We tried Lemonade’s daily vegan fare and we were impressed. The food quality is superior and the preparation is like fine dining, but at an affordable price. Don’t miss sipping on this expansive brand’s signature lemonade flavors on this former cottage’s charming front patio. And of course, Lemonade is perfect for take-away meals. We also weren’t surprised to learn the Lemonade brand recently opened its first San Diego location in La Jolla as these charming and delectable eateries do well in “green” neighborhoods.

Lemonade LarchmontJust across from the darling Lemonade is all-vegan Café Gratitude. Rather new to Larchmont, Café Gratitude is now the to-go spot for vegans and non-vegans as the breakfasts, lunches and dinners here are phenomenally good.

Other vegan-friendly offerings in Larchmont Village’s south end include Pressed Juicery, Larchmont Bungalow, Le Petit Greek, Go Get ‘Em Tiger (coffeehouse), Chevalier’s Books, Diptyque (candles), Healing Hands Wellness Center, Larchmont Sanctuary Day Spa, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Coffee+Food, Osteria Momma and Mozza. Classic Craftsman-style eatery and bar The Larchmont sits just across the street from The LC for relaxing cocktails, veggie-styled appetizers and gourmand salads.

Need one more reason to live at The LC? You can eat fresh organics all the time by attending the Larchmont Farmer’s Market on Sundays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
